A Weekend Well Spent in SF

in Blog by

A great weekend in my books gives you opportunity to dress up, dress down, work out, snuggle in, and adventure and this weekend has been a glorious example of that, finally. Not that weekends are usually horrible around here, but it’s so nice to have a weekend to ourselves with nowhere really to be. Here’s a photo diary from our fun!

Friday night

Netflix on the couch, charcuterie, pop corn, and red wine for dinner. I’ve been sick since Wednesday night and this was just what the doctor ordered. And by doctor, I mean me.

Saturday

Had a lovely sleep in while Wisam made us coffee and picked up the New York Times (it gets delivered to the street, not our door, and sometimes doesn’t even make it there). Flipped through the paper for a bit before heading out for brunch in Presidio Heights.

The Kooples dress, Nannacay straw tote, Castaner espadrilles.

We strolled from Presidio to Pac Heights after brunch and spotted Salt & Straw ice creamery with no line, so obviously we went for dessert. San Francisco is well known for it’s many delicious ice creameries, and this one lives up to all the hype. The carrot cake dough ice cream is ridiculously good.

Home for a nap and then into jeans and sneakers for the big Mayweather vs McGregor fight at Rumours sports bar, which tbh, I didn’t know about until Wisam brought it up that afternoon. Bar got rooooowdy. Not us, we were in bed by about 10:30pm and not mad about it.

Reformation jeans, Vans sneakers, vintage Salvatore Farragamo bucket bag from TheRealReal

Sunday

More coffee, newspaper, and grapefruit on our patio with Duchess.

After newspapers, gym, and more newspapers, we took Duchess to Baker Beach for some fun in the sun and waves.

Same Reformation jeans, H&M cropped tee, NY Yankees cap

After the beach we hiked to Lands End then headed home where Wisam cooked us a much anticipated Blue Apron (meal delivery service who went public July 29th and whose stock, $APRN, has almost halved since then, just fyi) dinner with red wine.

Duchess has been sleeping ever since we got home and is now snoring in her Casper bed. <3

All in all, a very San Francisco weekend well spent.

Olivia is a fan of technology that changes the world and promoting financial literacy. She believes in the power of blockchain, understanding finance and politics, puppy cuddles, and a newspaper with coffee on Sundays. Welcome to the Paper & Coffee.
